daughter of the reckoning sky
What would you sacrifice to finally fly?
a girl. a plane. a namesake. a journey.
“The cold glass bites my skin, but I’m mesmerized by the ebbing light filtering around each finger, illuminating the outline of my hand with every scarlet pulse off the wingtip.
Another plane has found me.”

a life in flight
Paige grew up surrounded by aviation—her dad, a lifelong pilot, had her and her brother in four-seater airplanes since before they could talk. From trips cross-country to seaplane fly-in events, adventure was never farther than the small municipal airport in their hometown.
When Paige started to explore book concepts in her pre-teens, aviation seemed like an natural place to start. Now in her mid-twenties the story has grown far beyond the initial concept: a girl, her plane, and a missing father.
Paige is incredibly grateful to have a built-in aviation consultant who doesn’t hold back (she now knows headrests weren’t standard on Cessna 172’s until the late 1970’s). Writing and sharing this book with her father has been a wonderful experience, and she looks forward to more of his invaluable commentary on the next two books in the series.
